Dog training for useful skills in North Kesteven, Lincolnshire
Do you have a dog who would benefit from learning some useful obedience skills and manners?
Or a refresher to try a new way of learning something that has stopped working?
Let me help you reach your dog training goals.
Is the advice you're trying from the internet not making sense or simply not working?
If you want to learn appropriate, kind and effective ways to teach your dog something new, or problem solve and re-train something you have already tried, you have come to the right place.
My job is to find the most appropriate support for you and the best friend you have in front of you whilst always being kind and understanding.
Private training sessions can help with teaching specific things such as:
- Walking nicely on the lead
- Coming when called
- Greeting people politely
- Teaching basic obedience such as general manners
Sometimes there is more to it...
If your dog is showing other behaviours which are contributing to the problem, you will need to book a behaviour consultation instead. Details for this can be found here.
If the reason your dog is pulling on the lead, not coming when called, or jumping up is related to something more complex, a training package will need to be turned into a behaviour one. Please see the behaviour support page for further information.

“Never made us feel judged”
"Laura is amazing! So thorough and patient. Never made us feel judged when we learned we had been doing things wrong. And even spotted a health issue that we and the vet had missed. Our dog is so much happier now, and we can't thank Laura enough."

How it works:
Reach out to me
Get in touch with me to let me know what you would like to teach your dog. I will ask a few questions to make sure this is the best service to support you, or will go through the behaviour support package if that is more appropriate to meet your needs.
You will recieve a questionnaire to complete about your dog, and further information about working with me. We will arrange a suitable date to get started and this will be confirmed once I have received your completed forms and payment.
02
Initial session
We will start with an initial session lasting up to 60 minutes to set out and get started on a training plan that fits both your dog's needs and your abilities.
After the session you will receive supporting information to refer back to between sessions for what we have covered.
03
Follow-up sessions
Your two follow-up sessions of up to 60 minutes each give us chance to review how the training has been going, add in further steps to progress what you have started, and if needed, problem solve anything that hasn't gone quite to plan.
Your 3 sessions should give us ample time to work through the three stages of teaching a new skill. If, however, you are wanting to introduce multiple new skills, or you would like support with addition things, you can then book further sessions to support you as you need.

"Everyone in the park was very impressed...”
"Our new recall is working very well. Everyone in the park was very impressed and have had no issues catching him. He wants to run with me and play and if he senses I want to put the lead on he just sits patiently waiting for a treat. Can't believe it was that easy. Thanks again."
